There is no knowledge that we can teach in a school setting that will outweigh the importance of knowing how to be happy.
But forcing students to take coding classes may give them yet another piece of feedback that the problem is them, and not the schooling system.

We are part of a system but the system is also reflective of our practice.

If you planned by considering the question “I’ve got 5 hours a day with these growing humans. What do they most need?” as opposed to “I’ve got 5 hours a day to cover all the standards. How do I fit it all in?” how would your teaching change? How would learning change as a result?
