Welcoming Our Newborn

I’m sitting here at my laptop after 7 weeks of a vacation away from work to welcome our newest addition to the family. It’s surreal. I’ve got so many things swimming through my mind.

We have a new investment to try and manage, a new school to get underway, and some loose ends to tie up in some failed ventures.

I’m thankful for the ability to truly take time away from work. I’m thankful to have the ability to be able to invest money in my family’s future. I’m thankful that my wife and I found self-directed learning.

I don’t deserve any of this. But God doesn’t give things out to people who deserve them, as much as we would like Him to. He rains on the just and the unjust. I hope he’ll continue to rain on me as I aim to rain on others.
