William Glasser

William Glasser wrote his book, Choice Theory, the year before I graduated high school. I often think that if the adults who cared for and looked after me had been aware of this book then I would not have struggled so much in my early adult life.

Glasser’s writing completely changed the paradigm from which I viewed all of my behavior. There is not one research study, article, or interaction with people that I don’t see confirmation of both his fears and his dreams.

His work profoundly impacted my relationship with my wife, my children, my co-workers, and my students.

I will continue to capture moments of clarity about Glasser’s work in my blog but his work is too deep to cover in any sense of completeness on this site.

Whether you’re a parent or a physician, a manager or a retail clerk, I cannot recommend Choice Theory enough.
